De periode van heksenjachten in West-Europa viel samen met het oprukkende kapitalisme en de komst van het patriarchaat. Met dit nieuwe denken brokkelde de manier van denken over gelijkwaardigheid en samenleven langzaam af. Maar wat zijn we daarmee eigenlijk kwijtgeraakt?
Overtuigd van het belang van het vrouwelijk perspectief op de grote uitdagingen van onze tijd en geïnspireerd door dit historische kantelpunt, maakt Eline Arbo in samenwerking met het ensemble van Noord Nederlands Toneel en Club Guy & Roni het hyper interdisciplinaire Witch Hunt; een voorstelling over de moed om dat wat we kwijt zijn geraakt in de ogen te kijken.

The era of witch-hunts in Western Europe coincided with the rise of capitalism and the advent of patriarchy. In the wake of this new philosophy, old attitudes to equality and living together slowly crumbled away. But what did we lose, in reality?
Adamant about the importance of the female perspective on the major challenges of our time and inspired by this historic turning point, Eline Arbo created Witch Hunt; a play about the courage to face up to what we have lost. Witch Hunt is the latest inter-disciplinary performance from Noord Nederlands Toneel and Club Guy & Roni.
